Data privacy statement

Obligation to inform

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Your data will be processed exclusively on the basis of the legal regulations (General Data Protection Regulation GDPR and the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2003). This data protection information is designed to advise you of the most important aspects of data processing in the context of the use of our website.

If we decide not to process your enquiry, the enquiry and all the associated personal data will be deleted immediately. In all other cases, we will retain your data until you contact us at premium@mypellets.at to withdraw your consent. We will not pass your data on to third parties without your consent.

Matomo web analytics

On our website we use the open source software tool Matomo that is stored on a virtual server of the computer centre of Hetzner Online GmbH, Sigmundstraße 135, 90431

Nuremberg/Germany. This ensures that data is not transmitted to unauthorised third parties and remains under our control. Matomo uses cookies. These cookies allow us to count the number of times you visit our website. The cookies are stored on your device, making it possible for us to analyse how you use our website. The last two number blocks of your IP address are anonymised, making it technically impossible for us to clearly identify you as a visitor. We consider this form of analysis to be part of our internet service; it enables us to improve our website and adapt it to the needs of our visitors.

When you first access our website, you will see various cookie options that will allow you to decide whether you wish to permit a web analysis cookie to be saved to your browser in order to enable us to collect and analyse statistical data.

Cookies

Cookies are files that are stored on your local device (PC, laptop, smartphone) and store information about you, which the relevant controllers (and third parties) can access for the duration of the cookies’ validity. The notice about the use of cookies appears when you first open the website. You have the option to agree or not to their use. If you agree to the use of cookies, in addition to the technically necessary cookies, the non-essential cookies will also be used to collect special personal user data about people’s behaviour on a website. If you do not agree, only the technically necessary cookies will be used.

Necessary cookies

Necessary cookies are absolutely necessary for the website to function properly. These are exclusively cookies that are needed to ensure the basic functioning of the website and for security purposes. No personal information is stored in these cookies. These include session cookies, which are created automatically and which increase the security of communication between server and client (are deleted after the session), as well as the cookie settings themselves, which save the cookie settings that have been set. There are also functional cookies that you can disable using your web browser. But they can be required to control certain options, such as the access to protected pages (log-in handling) and the correct functioning of the webshop.

Non-essential cookies

All cookies that are not indispensable for the functioning of the website and that are used specifically to collect personal data on visitors for the purposes of analysis, advertising and other embedded options are non-essential cookies. These include targeting cookies (e.g. of Google Analytics), marketing cookies (that supply targeted advertising) and social media widgets (that enable the loading of images and videos directly from social media providers and which results in the exchange of information with these networks). This requires your mandatory consent. If you disable these cookies (you do not agree to their use), this may affect your browsing experience.

Contest

The participant expressly agrees that the personal data transmitted by them (first name, last name, email, telephone, address, city, country) will be stored electronically and can also be passed on to third parties in connection with the processing of the prize (at this point in time: IT Tronic Innovation Graz, advertising agency Madison for shipping and maintenance of the website). Without this data, the competition entry cannot be processed. Before the end of the competition, a separate competition newsletter will be sent to all participants. The stored data will be deleted immediately after the competition ends and the winner is announced. With the winner’s consent, the picture of the prize being presented will be used on the mypellets.at website, posted on the Facebook page and sent to subscribers via newsletter.

Purpose limitation, legal basis, storage period and data recipient

We need the collected personal data for contract fulfilment, billing, assertion of contractual claims, customer service and advertising purposes. The data is collected, stored, processed and used for this purpose. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is, on the one hand, contract fulfilment, legitimate interests, the fulfilment of our legal or contractual obligations and, on the other hand, your consent (e.g. newsletter, competition). Failure to provide data can have various consequences.

We process your personal data from our customer data sheet, if necessary, for the duration of the entire business relationship (from initiation, processing to termination of a contract) as well as in accordance with the legal retention and documentation obligations, which arise, among other things, from the Commercial Code (UGB), the Federal Tax Code (BAO) as well as until the end of any legal dispute, ongoing warranty and guarantee periods, etc. As part of the operation of our websites, we commission, for example, software service providers and agencies who can gain access to your personal data in the course of their activities, provided that they need the data to fulfil their respective services. They have committed themselves to complying with the applicable data protection regulations.

Your rights

In principle you have the right to be informed, the right to rectification, the right to erasure (the right to be forgotten), the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, the right to object and the right to withdraw consent. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection laws or that your rights with regard to data protection have been infringed in any other way, you can file a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority.
